Text and cover papers are the high quality prestige papers that are used to make an impression. This is the type of paper used for stationery, and letterhead and matching envelopes. Whether you are a graphic designer choosing paper for corporate annual reports and identity packages, a couple picking out wedding invitations, or an artist making greeting cards, this is the paper grade for you.

Typically, text and cover papers are produced at smaller mills that do not produce their own pulp. The have pulp shipped in to produce the paper, so substitutinig recycled pulp for virgin timber pulp is cost competitive. In fact, using text and cover paper without recycled content is almost inexcusable. (more on text and cover paper)

Text and cover papers are available from a number of sources:

  • Mill Sales: Many mills will now sell small quanitites directly to end-users.
  • Environmental Paper Specialty Distributers: These businesses are knowledgeable about environmental papers and sell recycled paper and paper products.
  • Online Retail: These are online sources of paper produced by a number of different mills.
  • Retail Paper Stores: Once a best-kept secret, these stores sell small quantities of text, cover, and printing stocks as well as envelopes and office papers at extremely competitive prices.
